First-ever Lolita tryout

I was dreaming of a classic Lolita dress for a while now, and i finally got one! It's 'Small Estate' by Forest Wardrobe, which seems to be one of the indie brands of the currently flourishing Chinese lolta scene, and it's one of the few dresses i will not tear apart with my, uh.. nonstandard proportions, even under a fairly standard 160cm height. Admittedly, lolita is hard to pull off even for many a girl not gifted with broad shoulders and flat chest, unlike myself. There is one dress by Chess Story i'd rather get, but even in XL, it's gonna be a bit too tight. Anyways! This one fits, and it looks great with the blouse a friend handed me down. And it meets my wishes for a Lolita dress with ruffles, but a bit tamer and stricter than the usual.

The whole style is very new to me, unlike Decora and Gyaru, which i know and feel much better so first things first, i decided to go on a picnic with my darling to our panel house's backyard and test it out there. I'm still learning how to wear this stuff out. The petticoat (which is a cheapout tworims type and not a true fillerstuffed one) has to be adjusted to be smaller at the bottom to make the dress less trianglish, and of course, no decent frills girl goes around with her hair let down simple like that; gotta think of a good headdress, and a hairstyle to match. But overall, the tryout is a success and i'm fairly happy with the results.
