another day,
another special bond is getting broken -

if only one could soak in
a drop of other's pain.

and though the air is drenched in sun today,
it's woven out of sorrows

A train takes me to work -
it's faster than anything else
to go to the city outskirts.

One day, after my eight hours,
i will instead board the one
that won't take me back.

	"Carry me far away,
	bring me to a station
	i never heard the name of"

I will walk on and on,
'til i reach a field no one knows,
And in months, a man will come -
searching for a missing person,

	a worker, a tax-payer.

Confused, he will find instead
	only a single mare,
	grazing, sleeping, running,
		forgetting what "working" means.

2026-01-19

Wish i were a beautiful carousel horse
at a big merry go round, somewhere in northern France.
Not at the coast, but somewhere near,
	to still get the nice air.

In my relative stillness,
bringing people joy,
watching kids grow,
	while only slowly rusting myself.

Not saying much, ever,
and feeling just fine most days.
Looking so precious and elegant
that jewel boxes are made after me and my kind.

	I bet getting restored feels great.
