Elysian Tunes
What's going on?
From bubblegum pop to harsh noise, from chiptune to speedcore, from ambient to amenpunk, ELYSIAN TUNES has it all! Running steadily since 2014, the label boasts over 70 releases from a roster overfilling with vivid (and sometimes opposite) personalities!
The catch is: the label is really just a facade - the projects are just me, Aubery, sorting my musical output by genre/mood. I also play with the characters like dolls and make silly lore semi-related to the music. It's tons of fun!
On this page, you can find info on ETunes characters, the music, and even some lore-related bits; but the best way to get to know the music is to listen to it on the ELYSIAN TUNES bandcamp!
Characters / Projects
☆AUBERY☆
Drenched in fun accessories and lacy ribbons, Aubery projects her everlasting resource of love, empathy, hopefulness and silly rave cravings through fast & hard-hitting music. Her secondary ocupation is sound-aimed DIY electronics and retro tech repairs. She ties the ever so different ETunes gang together!
- amenpunk, decoracore, breakcore, chiptune, fast glitter trash
- 164
- 60
- Fox?
- Girlish
- AMEN GLITTERBOMB
Curlwond
Kate Void, aka Curlwond, used to be a trending pop artist. She joined Elysian Tunes to escape from the overwhelming fame and the underlying creative pressure she brought upon herself. She stayed in the overall juke/pop vibe, but now expresses herself as she wants, swinging from sweet to nasty extremes easily.
- plasticore, juke, footwork, noisy pop, glam electro, cute'n'bass
- 175
- 67
- Alien?
- Hyperfem
- NEW DAWN
Algorithm Dude
A giant dog who can eschew laws of physics by forgetting they exist. The world is still spinning just because he's too busy playing videogames and helping with events. Got his head severely injured during a rave and was DIY-fixed into a TV head, unleashing his chaotic personality to its fullest.
- speedcore, YTPcore, mashcore, bastard pop, stupid idiot music
- 228
- 140
- Dog

- WELCOME TO THE BONER APOCALYPSE
kouyou
Unlike most of the group, kouyou prefers cozy pillows, chamomile tea and a nice coding session to loud raves. She runs the label's online affairs and occasionally writes her own music, distinct with its comforting and slice-of-life undertones. Kouyou is a host to the madness spirit she dubbed BZZT.
- bubblegum bass, glitter pop, minimal, comfort zone pop
- 186
- 96
- Dragon
- Female
- mint bow and umbrella
BZZT
Like an infection, the spirit of madness that always was and will be found another host to manifest itself through in kouyou, whose bodily dysphoria and social insecurity make a perfect soil. She ended up learning to counter and control it, dumping its ideations into abrasive noise music.
- abhorrent harh noise, uneasy ambient
- N/A
- 0
- Spirit
- N/A
- BURIED IN GARBAGE
NO_ID
Brought to ETunes by kouyou, NO_ID has a special interest in excavating and archiving data, especially the old and obscure. Combined with his appreciation of collage art and otherwise self-destructive lifestyle, it sometimes ends up becoming vaporwave music, often of a particular dissociative flavour.
- vaporwave, vapour fusion, ambient, hypnagogic
- 181
- 71
- Feline
- Demiboy
- (yume)overworld
Scarlytt Sixton
Aubery's old friend, Scarlytt is part of a street punk gang, sometimes competing in fight tourneys as a sidehustle. She likes it loud and flashy, which brought her to raves, then making rave music. Gabber is the preferred form, matching her hard hitting attitude. Has a secret crush on kouyou, but she fails to notice.
- gabber, hardcore, dusty warehouse rave, hard hitter acid
- 172
- 76
- Shark
- Fuck off
- Rave Crew Brainscrew
- SIX TON DOG
self.DIVERS
A group of researchers for Bright Moon Co. whose output is sometimes music. The collective and research topic change all the time, so it's hard to expect style consistency! Their audio ended up on ETunes because Bright Moon Co., the label's bigger supporter, asked for release cooperation and were not rejected.
- ambient, trance, braindance, whatever happens happens
- DATATRACK__02
- Bright Moon Co. Distribution
Smoke
Aubery mistook the vapour this waterbourne entity dissipated into upon first encounter for smoke, and the name stuck. They usually take a more condensed and anthropomorphic form. They can't speak, but seem to have visions and memories they share through music. They know how to serve great tea for some reason?
- jungle, ambient, deconstruct & bass
- Varies
- ~60
- Entity
- Fluid
- lost inside my head

Links
As the internet rots away, the ELYSIAN TUNES link list became much shorter than it once was. Stuff like samples are available on this website. The few external places ETUNES still exists at are:
- Bandcamp hosts the active releases with an optional button to give me some bux for them. You can and should get the actual files from there. Free is OK! But also, $5.50 for all the stuff at once is a deal, right?
- MEGA root contains the entirety of back log, stems and samples, plus some other bonus bits and bobs like non-ETUNES albums that i backed up out there.
- Youtube where album streams, trailers, etc are uploaded. I really should put more stuff out there - or maybe i actually should not!
- Soundcloud works as a "latest of" pinboard. Old stuff deleted as new stuff is released; get it off bandcamp to your local storage forever!
FAQ
What program to make music with?
I mostly use Renoise and Ableton, paired via ReWire or not. I also use LSDJ for chiptune and Tenacity for quick sample preparation. I used to run FL Studio until 2016 or so, it is also very cool. There's also Bitwig and VCV Rck. No best program to make music with! I endorse Renoise for its (tracker+modular)like interface and affordable one-time-buy pricing. OpenMPT and MilkyTracker should be honourably mentioned as 100% free trackers.
You run hardware - is it obligatory for good music?
Hardware sound devices are my special interest, and i'm designing and building my own mostly-analog synthesizers for that reason. While it does affect the way my music sounds, it is by no means instrumental to making good stuff. In fact, most of my music is still very much purely computer music. You don't need to purchase any hardware synths or vst plugins to sound great!
Can i release my album on Elysian Tunes?
I get this one more often than you imagine. Listen carefully. Thank you for your interest, but Elysian Tunes is just me. It's "Aubery releasing her stupid shit under a bunch of fictional names so that an ambient release and a speedcore release don't come from the same name"; not a label label. And so, i cannot release others' work.
Did you steal your "label" idea from Lapfox Trax?!
Quick answer: no, I stole it from Gorillaz, please stop.
Full answer
As a sad lost 13-year old kid, I hung out with my big cousin and his friend, both musicans. I proposed we start a band, they didn't want to make me feel bad, so they didn't say no, but also no band activities were happening. So i said "screw you" and, inspired by Gorillaz, made my own fictional band Rave Audio out of my Sonic OCs (-> Elysium Ravers, to honour "Elysium" by Scott Brown). Then i figured i make lots of different music, so i could have each guy release their own stuff like a label.
Then people pointed me to Lapfox in the "you ripoff!" context, i liked em's music a lot and ended up incorporated some of their techniques in my sound by 2015-2016. I knew their project Renard separately since 2014-ish, but just as an author name of some mp3's from fast hard electronic music groups, along with other classics like cardopusher, m1dy, mr bad monkey, l3ft luca5, wan bushi, etc, so if early Astro The Fox/Algorithm Dude stuff feels like an hommage, that's because it is, but to all of the above.
Are you plural / a system?
Nope, as far as i understand the definition. The characters of the project definitely represent thin slices of my personality/worldview/etc, and as i live i sometimes use them as boxes to put my mood/state/etc into to easier analyse it, but no plurality is going on.
I miss [chara_name], when's their next album?
There's always a fuckillion projects in progress, so chances are an album is already on the way. Or maybe not! In the meantime, please, stop listening to just algorithm dude and check the other 70 or so albums that i released lmao
Do you perform?
HELL yeah i do - reach out to book me. I do DMG-01 chiptune sets with Astro The Fox/*AUBERY* reprtoire. Also DJ sets which mostly fall into three tiers: insane gabbabreakcore 200bpm+ madness, glam electro private party and varpourjungle dissociation. And of course i sometimes bring out my DIY synths and play some shitty sophisticated live music!
Another transfem furry making music, is this a trend?
Nah
How do you release so much stuff?
I don't anymore - kids, it's bad for your brain to pump out 12+ albums a year! Six is fine, though, which is what i'm aiming for recently. In general, battle your perfectionism and accept that you won't ever hear your brain's music perfectly rendered from the speakers; close enough is good enough, and once that's done, move on. If you're just starting out, finish as much stuff as possible instead of trying to make that one track ideal. Also get off twitter or whatever, helps a lot!
